Your move in Marzahn — personally organised
Free on-site survey
During an on-site appointment, we look at the conditions and talk about access routes, stairwells and special pieces of furniture. This avoids surprises, and you get a realistic assessment of the services required.
Packing and materials
We advise you on suitable packing materials and gentle packing techniques for delicate items. On request, we take over the complete packing or help with specific items — entirely according to your needs.
Transport and furniture assembly
During transport, we make sure everything is firmly secured and stowed in a space-saving way. At the destination, we assemble furniture professionally and set up rooms according to your instructions. A clean way of working and respectful handling of your property go without saying.

Special transports and special requests
For bulky or valuable items, we find suitable solutions: specially secured loading areas, additional protective measures and careful handling. Let us know about any special features in advance so that we can plan the right equipment.
Moving company Berlin Marzahn – high-rises, lifts and lots of green space
Marzahn stands for Berlin’s largest prefabricated housing estate, but that is only part of the picture. Alongside the residential tower blocks on Allee der Kosmonauten and at Helene-Weigel-Platz, there is Alt-Marzahn with its village church and windmill, Biesdorf with detached houses and villas, and lots of green space around the Gardens of the World. Anyone moving here needs a team that is equally at home with tower blocks and houses.
Residential tower blocks with many floors
Many flats in Marzahn are in buildings with eleven, eighteen or more storeys. The lift is the heart of the move there. We clarify in advance whether it can be reserved and deploy one team up in the flat and one down at the van. That way the lift is constantly in motion. Furniture that does not fit into the lift car is planned for transport via the stairwell – this takes longer, but has to be in the schedule.
Five-storey blocks without a lift
In addition to the tower blocks, there are many lower prefabricated buildings without a lift. The rule here is: the higher the flat, the more carriers. We dismantle large furniture and pack heavy items into smaller boxes so that nobody has to climb five floors with 30 kilos in their arms.
Biesdorf and Alt-Marzahn
Biesdorf has detached houses and town villas with gardens. Access is usually unproblematic, but cellars, garages and sheds increase the volume. Alt-Marzahn is quiet and village-like, and the distances are short. For both areas we plan based on an on-site survey and not on a flat rate.

Costs and money-saving tips
Floor, lift, volume and distance determine the price. A move within Marzahn with two lifts often goes faster than expected, whereas a trip to Charlottenburg takes longer. We calculate openly and after an on-site survey. You can save if you pack yourself, sort things out early and dismantle in advance any furniture you can take apart anyway.
By the way: the prefabricated flats often have similar floor plans. If you move within the estate, you can usually put furniture in the same place – this saves time when setting up.
As a moving company Berlin Marzahn, we also work in Hellersdorf and Lichtenberg. You can find guide prices under Moving company Berlin costs.
Around Marzahner Promenade, Ringkolonnaden and the Gardens of the World
Marzahn has changed significantly in recent years. Many prefabricated buildings have been renovated, some tower blocks have been given new lifts, and new shops and flats have been built around Marzahner Promenade. For moves this means that conditions in the buildings vary greatly, even within one street. A renovated eleven-storey block with a large lift is something quite different from a residential block in which nothing has changed for decades.
Tower blocks at Helene-Weigel-Platz and on Landsberger Allee
In the tower blocks along Landsberger Allee and around Helene-Weigel-Platz, many people live on the upper floors. A working lift is crucial there. Before the move, ask your property management whether maintenance work is planned. It does happen that a lift is serviced on exactly the day of the move. If we know in good time, we will find a solution, such as another date or a second lift in the neighbouring entrance.
Moves with bulky waste
With moves in Marzahn, we often find that old furniture is not supposed to come along. The wall unit from the time of reunification, the worn-out sofa, the carpet that no longer fits in the new flat. For bulky waste, Berlin has the BSR, which collects by appointment, or the recycling centres. Alternatively, we can take old furniture away as part of a clearance if you mention this during planning. That way, no empty flat with old furniture is left behind at the end.
Gardens of the World and quiet residential streets
In the south of Marzahn, around the Gardens of the World and towards Biesdorf, the streets are quieter and there are more small houses. There it is easier for us to find a parking space, and the carrying distances are short. A no-parking zone still makes sense if the street is narrow or many residents park there.
From a prefab block to a house
Many Marzahn residents move within the district from a prefabricated block to a house in Biesdorf or Mahlsdorf. Then not only the living space grows, but also the number of rooms that need furnishing. Plan the setup in the new home carefully: which furniture goes into which room? A simple plan that you stick on the door helps our team enormously when unloading. For a move within the district, one day is usually enough, including assembly.
If you are moving further away from Marzahn, for example to another city, we will also be happy to advise you on a long-distance move from Berlin.
Change of tenant and flat inspection
The large housing companies in Marzahn have fixed procedures for flat inspections. There is often a preliminary inspection at which it is determined what still needs to be done before moving out. If you have this appointment before the move, you will know exactly whether dowel holes need to be filled, wallpaper removed or floors cleaned. We clear the flat completely and leave it broom-clean so that the final inspection goes smoothly.
If you are moving with little furniture, for example after a separation or when setting up your first household, you do not need a large van. For such cases, we offer smaller moves that are completed more quickly.
One more practical point: many Marzahn buildings have tenants’ cellars in long corridors that can only be reached via a narrow staircase. Bring the things up from the cellar in the days before the move or place them together at the cellar exit. This saves a lot of trips on moving day and prevents anything from being forgotten.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
How flexibly can I combine services?
You choose which tasks we take on: a complete move, transport only, packing service or furniture assembly. Many customers combine individual services depending on their schedule and personal preference.
What do I need to prepare before the move?
A clear inventory list, labelled boxes and marking of delicate items are important. Before the appointment, we give you specific advice on which steps make sense so that everything runs smoothly on moving day.
How much does a move in Berlin-Marzahn cost?
In Marzahn, the costs depend heavily on the floor and the lift, as well as on the volume and additional services such as packing or kitchen assembly. In Alt-Marzahn or the estates, distances are often short. Guide values are given under Moving company Berlin costs.
Do I need a no-parking zone in Marzahn?
In front of the prefabricated buildings on Märkische Allee or Landsberger Allee, the parking spaces are often full during the day. With a no-parking zone, the lorry stands right at the entrance. We take care of it – see No-parking zone Berlin.
How early should I book my move in Marzahn?
For Marzahn we recommend four to eight weeks. If you are moving during the school holidays or at the end of the month, it is better to enquire early.
How are my belongings insured during a move in Marzahn?
Under the German Commercial Code (HGB), we are generally liable up to 620 euros per cubic metre of load space. For expensive appliances or heirlooms, additional insurance can be advisable.
