Your move in Treptow — personal, local, careful
Why Treptow as a location matters
Treptow is diverse: old buildings, tree-lined streets and some narrow access roads characterise the district. Conditions like these affect the choice of vehicle, access options and protective measures. We take local circumstances into account early on to avoid surprises on moving day.
Our services for private moves
We support you with every step of your move: from professional packing and safe transport to the careful dismantling and reassembly of furniture. If you wish, we tailor the services to you individually so that we only do what you really need.

How your move works
So that you know exactly what to expect, we describe the typical process here. It is practical and leaves room for individual arrangements:

- Planning: defining access points, transport route and protective measures.
- Packing: professional packing and unpacking of fragile items.
- Transport: safe loading, secured transport and unloading.
- Assembly and setting up: furniture assembly and placement according to your wishes.
- Final check: joint inspection and clarification of any remaining points.
Additional services that make the difference
Alongside the standard move, we offer optional services that make your everyday life easier. These include the careful packing of delicate items, the provision of suitable materials and the professional preparation of large furniture for transport. Tell us what kind of support would help you.
Moving company Berlin Treptow – from Alt-Treptow to Adlershof
Treptow stretches from Treptower Park on the Spree to the science hub of Adlershof. Alt-Treptow has period buildings and narrow streets, Plänterwald and Baumschulenweg have quiet residential areas with apartment buildings from various decades, and Johannisthal and Adlershof have many new housing developments. Distances are longer than in the city centre, and conditions vary from one neighbourhood to the next.
Alt-Treptow and Plänterwald
Around Kiefholzstraße and Elsenstraße, period buildings and post-war buildings stand close together. Parking spaces are scarce, especially near Treptower Park at weekends when the weather is good. A no-parking zone is worthwhile here. In Plänterwald many people live in apartment blocks with green spaces – the distance from the van to the front door is sometimes longer there.
Baumschulenweg and Johannisthal
Here, older apartment buildings mix with housing estates and new builds. The streets are quieter and access is usually easy. In Johannisthal and around the former airfield, many new flats are being built, often with a lift and an underground car park. We check in advance whether the entrance is high enough for our lorry or whether we will load on the street.
Adlershof: working and living
Adlershof is a science and media hub with a university, research institutes and companies. Many people move here because they work or study nearby. In addition to home moves, we also handle smaller office and laboratory relocations – find out more on our Laboratory Move Berlin page.

- Allow for travel time to other districts – routes across the Spree can take a while
Costs and money-saving tips
Volume, floor, lift and distance determine the price. Treptow lies between the city centre and the outskirts, so journey times are usually moderate. You can save by doing some of the packing yourself, choosing a weekday date and sorting out thoroughly. Anything that is not coming with you can be taken away and disposed of by us straight away.
A practical tip: the S-Bahn connects Treptow quickly with Ostkreuz and the city centre. If you don’t want to ride along in the van on moving day, you will often reach your destination faster by train than we do by lorry.
As a moving company in Berlin Treptow, we also operate in Köpenick and Neukölln. Guide prices can be found under Moving Company Berlin Costs.
The Adlershof science hub lies in the south-east of the district. You can read more about private and company moves there under Moving Company Berlin Adlershof.
Treptower Park, the Spree riverbank and the routes into the city centre
Treptow lies on the Spree and is connected to the city centre via the Elsenbrücke, Puschkinallee and the A100. The Elsenbrücke in particular has been a bottleneck in recent years due to construction work. For a move to or from Treptow, we therefore check in advance which bridges and routes are currently clear and plan the route accordingly.
Living at Treptower Park
Around Treptower Park and along Puschkinallee there are period buildings that are among the most sought-after addresses in the district. The flats are large, the ceilings high, and many have balconies overlooking greenery. The streets are wide, but parking is still scarce because many park visitors park there. It is especially busy on sunny weekends. A move on a weekday is usually more relaxed here.
Niederschöneweide and Oberschöneweide
Niederschöneweide and Oberschöneweide, on the other side of the Spree, have an industrial past. Today there are period buildings, converted factory buildings and new housing developments. In converted commercial buildings, access is sometimes unusual: goods lifts, wide corridors, but also long distances from the entrance to the flat. We take a close look at such buildings during the survey. Both riverbanks now belong to the joint district of Treptow-Köpenick, and many moves go back and forth between them.
Plänterwald and Baumschulenweg
In Plänterwald there are many apartment blocks from the 1950s and 1960s, often with four floors and no lift. In Baumschulenweg, alongside apartment buildings, there are also small houses with gardens. Both types of housing are easy to reach, and there is usually a parking space nearby. Nevertheless, we recommend a no-parking zone if you live on a narrow street.
Students and employees in Adlershof
Thanks to the science and technology park in Adlershof and the Humboldt University campus, many students and employees move to Treptow. Their moves are often small but at short notice. We offer flexible solutions for this with a small vehicle and a small team. If you would like to find out more, you will find information on our page about student moves in Berlin.
Regardless of the size of your move, the rule in Treptow is: if you fix the date early and clarify the route in advance, you will reach your destination on moving day without long traffic jams.
Alt-Treptow and the border with Kreuzberg and Neukölln
Alt-Treptow lies right on the border with Kreuzberg and Neukölln. Many moves here cross the district boundary, for example from the Wrangelkiez to Kiefholzstraße or from the Reuterkiez to Karl-Kunger-Straße. That makes no difference to us; only the no-parking zones have to be applied for at two different district offices if moving out and moving in are in different districts. Processing times can differ, so we take care of this early.
In Alt-Treptow there are many period buildings with side wings and rear courtyards, similar to Kreuzberg. The carrying distances are correspondingly long and the staircases often narrow. We plan enough helpers so that the move progresses swiftly.
For moves in the opposite direction, i.e. from Treptow to Köpenick or Grünau, we allow for longer journey times via Köpenicker Landstraße or the Adlergestell.
