Your move in Köpenick – organised locally, carried out personally
Preparation and personal advice
Every move begins with a conversation in which we assess your situation. We look at access routes, staircases and parking spaces and clarify which services you would like. This results in an individually tailored concept.
A worry-free process
A structured process gives you peace of mind. We coordinate the individual steps so that you always keep track and important handover dates can be met.
- Survey and clarification of special features on site
- Defining the scope of services according to your wishes
- Packing and protection of fragile items
- Careful transport with appropriate securing
- Assembly and setting up at the destination
- Final inspection and handover
Special transports and narrow stairs
Köpenick has many period buildings with winding staircases. We plan for such challenges early on. We bring the right equipment and choose techniques that are gentle on furniture and living space.

Safe packing and professional assembly
For fragile items, we use suitable materials that offer protection and minimise the risks of the move. On request, we professionally dismantle and reassemble furniture so that everything works in its new place.
Help with packing and unpacking
Your move in Köpenick – the next step
Tell us your address, type of home and preferred date, or call 030 612 964 73. During the free on-site survey we also check the access route – in Wendenschloß or Grünau it is often narrow by the water – and then send you a written fixed-price quote.
If you would like help with packing, we are happy to assist by the hour or as a complete package. That leaves you more time to organise other tasks related to moving home.
Moving company Berlin Köpenick – old town, waterside locations and woodland estates
Treptow-Köpenick is Berlin’s largest district by area, and you notice that with every move. Between the old town on the island, Friedrichshagen on the Müggelsee, Wendenschloss, Grünau and Müggelheim, there are sometimes long distances through woodland and over bridges. Add to that prefabricated tower blocks such as in the Allende-Viertel and new residential complexes. A move in Köpenick therefore needs planning that realistically assesses distances and times.
Köpenick old town: cobblestones and narrow lanes
In the old town around the palace and town hall, the streets are narrow and partly cobbled. A large lorry cannot get through everywhere, and delivery traffic has fixed times. Depending on the location, we work here with a smaller vehicle or a parking suspension zone right in front of the building. Hand trucks roll poorly on cobblestones – so we plan for more carrying work.
Houses by the water and in the woods
In Wendenschloss, Grünau, Karolinenhof or Müggelheim, many houses stand on large, partly wooded plots. Driveways are often unpaved or narrow, and some houses are set back behind others. We check in advance how close the van can get and whether trees or gates are in the way. We include boating equipment, garden furniture and tools from sheds and garages in the planning.
Prefabricated blocks and new builds
In the Allende-Viertel and in Altglienicke, many people live in prefabricated blocks, some without a lift, some in high-rises with a lift. In the new residential areas in Adlershof and Johannisthal, access is usually easy, but many buildings have fixed rules for moves. We take both into account in the schedule.
Who moves with us in Köpenick
- Families moving from the city centre to the green surroundings on the Dahme or Spree
- Older people giving up their house and moving to a flat near the old town
- Employees from Adlershof moving closer to their workplace
- Weekend-home owners moving furniture between their city flat and their plot
Planning properly for longer distances
From Müggelheim to Mitte or from Grünau to Charlottenburg you can easily be on the road for an hour, longer in rush hour. We openly include this travel time in the quote. If you are flexible, choose an early start so that the van gets over the bridges before rush hour. For moves to the surrounding area in Brandenburg, Köpenick is often the shortest route – find out more on the page regional moves Berlin.
Costs and money-saving tips
Besides volume and floors, travel time and access play a role in Köpenick. An honest quote is therefore provided after the survey. You can save by sorting things out early, packing boxes yourself and choosing a weekday date.
As a moving company in Berlin Köpenick, we also work in Treptow and Lichtenberg. You can find guide prices under moving company Berlin costs.
Checklist for your move in Köpenick
- Check the access: how wide is the street, are there gates, barriers or unpaved paths?
- List boating equipment, bicycles and garden furniture as separate items
- In the old town: clarify delivery times and parking suspension early
- In high-rises: arrange a lift reservation with the property management
- Allow for travel time into the city centre and choose an early start
Anyone moving from a city flat to a house by the water often underestimates how much extra is needed: garden tools, tools, shelves for the basement. Conversely, when moving out of a house, there is often more left over than will fit in the new flat. In both cases, an honest inventory before the quote helps. We take the time for this during the survey and go through all the rooms together with you.
For moves in neighbouring Adlershof, whether to the period-building neighbourhood, a new build or the technology park, see the page moving company Berlin Adlershof.
Moving in Köpenick: routes, bridges and riverside roads
Köpenick lies on the Dahme and Spree, and this shapes the traffic. Many routes lead over just a few bridges, such as the Lange Brücke into the old town or the Dammbrücke. If there are roadworks on one of these routes, traffic quickly backs up. Before the move, we check which roadworks are currently in place and plan the route accordingly.
Friedrichshagen and Rahnsdorf
In Friedrichshagen along Bölschestraße there are many period buildings with shops on the ground floor. The street is narrow and the tram runs right through the middle. A parking suspension zone is a must there, otherwise the removal van blocks the traffic. In Rahnsdorf and Wilhelmshagen on the edge of the city, many people live in houses on large woodland plots. Driveways are often unpaved or sandy. In wet weather a heavy lorry can sink in there, so if necessary we use a smaller vehicle and shuttle back and forth.
Müggelheim and Schmöckwitz
Anyone who lives in Müggelheim or Schmöckwitz knows the long distances into the city. For us, this means the travel time has to be built into the plan, and it is best to start early. Houses on these plots often have boathouses, workshops or summerhouses. Let us know during the survey whether anything there should be taken along. We do not transport boats and trailers as household goods, but we are happy to give you contacts.
Waterside locations and damp
In houses close to the water, the basement is often damp. Boxes that have stood there for a long time are sometimes soft or mouldy. Repack basement contents into new boxes or plastic crates before the move. Damp boxes tear easily when carried. If you need help sorting things out, we also offer house clearance in Berlin.
Prefabricated blocks in the Allende-Viertel on Salvador-Allende-Straße
The Allende-Viertel has prefabricated blocks with five to eleven storeys. The taller buildings have lifts; the five-storey ones usually do not. The distances from the car park to the building entrance are long, because the buildings are surrounded by green spaces. We plan more carrying time there and clarify in advance whether we are allowed to drive the van into the residential street. Anyone moving from the Allende-Viertel to the old town or to Friedrichshagen benefits from short distances within the district, but should take the bridges and tram routes into account when planning.
In summer especially, there is a lot of leisure traffic in Köpenick, particularly around the Müggelsee on fine weekends. A move on a weekday is therefore often more relaxed.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
How does the survey work for a move in Köpenick?
During the survey, we go through all the rooms together, note any particular challenges and discuss your preferred date and additional services. This results in a realistic schedule for the move.
Can I book just some of the tasks?
Yes, you can choose individual services, such as transport only, help with packing or furniture assembly. We create a solution that fits your needs, so you only pay for what you actually need.
How much does a move in Berlin-Köpenick cost?
In Köpenick the range is wide: a period building in the cobbled old town, a prefabricated block in the Allende-Viertel or a house on the Müggelsee. Costs arise mainly from volume, floor and distances. Moving company Berlin costs gives guide values.
Do I need a parking suspension zone in Köpenick?
In the old town and on Bahnhofstraße almost always, because the streets are narrow and busy. In waterside estates, the driveway of the property is sometimes enough. We apply for the zone if needed – more under parking suspension zone Berlin.
How early should I book my move in Köpenick?
For Köpenick, we recommend four to eight weeks’ notice. In summer, when many houses by the water change hands, dates are booked up faster.
How are my belongings insured for a move in Köpenick?
The law limits a removal company’s liability to 620 euros for each cubic metre occupied by the household goods. For boats, garden sculptures or antiques, we are happy to discuss additional insurance.
How do I get a quote for my move in Köpenick?
Fill in the contact form or get in touch by phone (030 612 964 73). For houses by the water in Köpenick, we take a look at the access route during the appointment.
