All services of our moving company in Berlin at a glance

Most customers come to us with a clear goal: the old flat should be empty and the new one furnished. What happens in between we put together from individual building blocks as required. Here you will find all our services with a short note on when they make sense.

Moves for private customers

• Private move Berlin – the classic change of home within the city, from a one-room apartment to a detached house.
• Mini move and student move – for flat-share rooms, small flats or individual rooms, often done in a few hours.
• Senior move – with more time, fixed contacts and help with sorting out when moving from a large flat to a smaller one.
• Long-distance move and international moves – when you are leaving Berlin for another city or another European country.

Moves for companies, practices and public authorities

With a company relocation or office move, what matters most is that operations come to a standstill for as short a time as possible. That is why we are happy to plan over the weekend or in stages, department by department. Files, IT and archive cabinets are numbered so that every box ends up in the right room at the new location. Medical practice moves and public authority moves are also part of this – there, data protection and sensitive equipment are often added as extra requirements.

Transport, assembly and packing

• Furniture transport and small transport for individual items, such as a second-hand sofa or a wardrobe.
• Part-load, when only a few cubic metres need to travel on a route we are serving anyway.
• Assembly service and kitchen installation for dismantling, assembling and adapting wardrobes, beds and fitted kitchens.
• Packing service and moving boxes – we pack fully or partially and bring the right materials.
• Piano transport with straps, a piano dolly and enough staff for heavy individual items.

Storage, house clearance and no-parking zones

If there are a few weeks between moving out and moving in, furniture and boxes can be stored temporarily – details on our Storage Berlin page. Before a move, a house clearance is often worthwhile: anything that isn’t coming with you doesn’t have to be packed, carried and paid for. If an entire household is being dissolved, we take care of the flat clearance through to a broom-clean handover. And so that the van can park right outside the door on moving day, we can arrange the no-parking zone for you on request.

What we clarify with you before every job

So that the quote is accurate and there are no surprises on moving day, we always go through the same points in advance:

• Volume of the items to be moved – ideally via an on-site survey, alternatively via a list with photos.
• Floor, lift, width of the staircase and length of the carrying distance at both addresses.
• Furniture that needs to be dismantled, and items of particular weight or value.
• Preferred date, key handover and whether interim storage is needed.
• Which tasks you would like to do yourself to save costs.

Which service suits your plans?

Many enquiries start with the sentence “I don’t really know exactly what I need”. That is completely fine. To help you find your way more quickly, we have put together the most common situations from our everyday work and noted which services usually go with them.

You are moving within Berlin to a larger or smaller flat

This is the classic private move. We carry, transport and reassemble the furniture. Whether you pack yourself or leave it to us is up to you. In period buildings without a lift and on narrow streets, a no-parking zone is almost always worthwhile so that the van can park right outside the door.

You only have a few pieces of furniture or individual items

For a sofa from the furniture store, a wardrobe from your parents’ house or a flat-share room, you don’t need a large removal van. A small transport, a mini move or, for longer distances, a part-load is a better fit here. This saves costs because the vehicle and crew match the volume.

You are moving to another city or abroad

On long routes, good packing and clear scheduling are what count. We determine when loading and unloading take place and tell you whether an overnight stop is necessary on the way. If your move-out and move-in dates don’t match, the furniture can be stored with us for a few days or weeks.

A household needs to be cleared

After a bereavement, when moving into a care home or when emigrating, there is often more left behind than can be taken along. In that case we combine the move, house clearance and disposal. What is to go along goes to the new flat; the rest is sorted, donated or disposed of properly, and the old flat is handed over broom-clean.

Your office, practice or public authority is relocating

Here, what matters most is that operations come to a standstill for as short a time as possible. We plan workstations, files and technology together with your contacts, work at weekends or in the evenings if necessary, and label every box with its room and position.

Combining services sensibly

You don’t have to choose between “doing everything yourself” and “having everything done”. Many of our customers pack their own boxes but have us dismantle the kitchen and wardrobes. Others only pack books and clothes and leave crockery and glassware to our packing service. Tell us how much time and energy you want to invest yourself, and we will tailor the package accordingly. For a reliable quote we only need a few details: both addresses with floor and lift, the approximate size of the flat, particularly heavy or fragile items and your preferred date.

Photos of wardrobes, cellar and attic also help, because that is often where more items are hiding than you think when counting the rooms. The more precise your details, the better the team will match the job in the end, and the fewer surprises there will be on moving day.
